Mrs. M explains what StuCo President Sara Sorge needs to go over during the Wednesday lunch meeting prior to Red Ribbon Week.

On Nov. 20 the student council will host their “Painting-for-a-Purpose” event to raise funds that will go towards the purchase of Christmas gifts for children who would otherwise go without.

“Right now we are actually doing a lot of things and“ painting-for-a-purpose” is one of our big fall semester events,” Student Council President Sara Sorge said.

At the event student council members teach a painting class and provide the painters with supplies for them to do a painting. Teachers, students, and family members can sign up for $25.

“All of the proceeds go to our Christmas adopt-a child project and we will use those funds to buy gifts for children,” Student Council Sponser Sally Mroczkowski.
